Eurkea Club Event - The Chilly Potato Supply Chain Game Successfully Organized

It was a fight till the end, where all the operations enthusiasts came together to decode the Bugs Bunny's demand and the cost factor really made things interesting.

10 teams made it to the 2nd round, the first round being quiz and the 2nd round consisting of the simulation game.

The Results are as under:

1st Prize: Sumit Manchanda, Ratika Aggarwal, Shweta Gulati and Sunil Maurya satisfying complete 283 demand with just the minimal cost of 8050. They win Rs. 1200.

2nd Prize: Rohit Nema, Rahul Aggarwal, Arjun Singh Deswal and Anil Deokar satisfying complete 283 demand with a competitve cost of 8550. They win Rs. 800.

3rd Prize: Rahul Grover, Rahul Gattani, Gaurav Bhaduria and Sandipan Maiti also satisfied complete 283 demand with a close enough cost of 12100. They win Rs. 500.

The Chilly Potato Supply Chain Game Developed by LBSIM Eureka Club

The Chilly Potato supply chain game is a game which runs a simulation of the entire supply chain from raw materials to the consumer. The aim of the game is to feed the bugs bunny who likes chilly potatoes very much by first making chilly potatoes and then using the established network to satisfy his demand.

The game is inspired by MIT Beer Game and aims at taking a new direction of creating a tool to teach the students the basics of Operations Management.

Various new features and suggestions from faculties are currently being incorporated into it, however the current v. 1.0 works around the concept of bull whip effect only.
